The Seamark group is a multinational processor, exporter and distributor of frozen foods that required design and print management of their product catalogue, to be used across the world, from trade fairs to customers. The catalogue presents a full product range including products, recipes and overarching company information.
With a large variety of frozen foods, the challenge laid in the categorisation and simplification of the information journey to make it far more navigable.
We answered this challenge by creating tabbed sections for ease of use, plus a detailed colour coded contents guide. As for design, we consistently processed all the images which added the feel of a story — then selected two new typefaces for aesthetics and legibility, which all followed a precise grid system that helped the eye navigate a structured journey.
For the finishing, we included a matt laminate on the outer cover that served longevity and also amplified brand awareness through a contrasting spot varnish for the logo.
The new product was moved from a simple catalogue to a useful reference point through design and received international praise as it stood out from the competition, and helped customers to get all the information needed regarding Seamark's products and services.
